press conference Unforgettable Tour 2008
what a powerful message it's about time this happened right? ? The youtube clip was taken down.. so I'll have to paraphrase
Mr Amitabh Bachchan on why he's bringing the tour to the USA he said something like -- " there is a sort of over-saturation in the west so there is growing interest in other things now.. Indian cinema is gaining credibility where before it wasn't taken seriously... people are interested in Bollywood all over the world now"
(I have to agree with Mr. Bachchan on that ... and "saturation" is a polite understatement.. we're sick of the same old thing over and over here and we want something real!! )
Aishwarya was equally eloquent saying "it's about communication.." "we're all coming together very rapidly! " "there is alot of exchange in every field accross borders"

My Long Cherished Dream of seeing ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ came true in Toronto. He brought back my old memories of seeing him on Big Screen in 1970’s by singing and dancing hit numbers from DON, DEEWAR, Yaraana, Kalia, Mr. Natwarlal, Amar Akbar Anthony etc. which are all my favorites, electrifying the entire Stadium and enthralling 10,000 plus audiences, who all were humming to the tunes. My special thanks to Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and the entire team for making this event ‘The most Spectacular Live Show I have ever seen in USA/Canada’. I was dying to hear Amitabh’s voice. His unforgettable dialogues with his ‘Unforgettable Voice’ from movies like Deewar, Kabhie Kabhie etc. were a blessing in disguise. Last but not least, he also entertained young audience with his new movie hits.
I had never expected ‘Jaya Bachchan’ in Toronto. We all were taken a back when she appeared on stage. My hearty thanks to Jayaji for joining the ‘First Family of Bollywood’. We all remember Jaya Bhaduri from good old days of ‘GUDDY’.
Abhishek Bachchan was looking ‘HOT’ and ‘STUNNING’ and driving girls crazy. He stole my heart by dancing to numbers from Don and Mr. Natwarlal. For a moment I felt I am reliving the moments of Amitabh Bachchan of 1970’s. I truly adore him.
Rhitesh Deshmukh, Akshay Kumar, Vishal-Shekar added an extra fuel to the already HOT Stadium atmosphere. All-In-All, it was a memorable event, which will be the last stage show from Amitabh Bachchan considering his age. So, if you are a Bachchan’s fan, then there should not be any second thoughts. Get, set and Go and buy the tickets.
Many hearty thanks to Amitabh Bachchan for organizing shows of this magnitude all over the world. Also my hearty Congratulations to the entire team for making the premier show a Grand Success. May GOD give 'First Family' of Bollywood, a long long long long long long long healthy, active and cherished life. Good Day Sir!
Note: All negative messages posted here and elsewhere is the negative media campaign from SRK fans, who always write bad things about Big B without seeing his movies or shows. When you are dealing with these kinds of fools, better ignore them and give them a Munnabhai's ‘GET WELL SOON’ flower.

Thanks for your comment Harsha, yes! I have a ticket for NY on the 15th.. take the opportunity while you have it right? I really appreciate you sharing your amazing experience that night here.. you are one of many who truly understand the power of a person like Amitabh, and of course, Jayaji too (remember her performance in Shor? amazing!!) Yes indeed, bless them both.. and the whole family..
regarding the negativity in the media ( not here! i was just commenting for the sake of argument! haha) these younger actors are talented but they cant get by on charm (or tabloid ratings) alone--they should take a few more lessons from Mr. Amitabh before they start criticising such a great actor..
blessings
