Hi DJ,
I thought you might want to know about this great show. I have copied it for you below:

Event: "The Merchants of Bollywood - Musical"Jan 12, 2010 - Jan 17, 2010. Esplanade Theatre, Singapore.

“Merchants of Bollywood” is a one of a kind musical - An original production from Australia with a cast and crew direct from India’s film city – MUMBAI. Hailed as the world’s first authentic Bollywood musical, it is inspired from the real life story of Vaibhavi Merchant, the show's choreographer.

With over 850 sell out performances worldwide, this musical has enthralled over two million audiences in London, Brussels, Paris, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Auckland, Sydney, Zurich, Berlin, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and Bangkok - just to name a few cities.

This theatrical spectacular is a heartfelt story of a young girl, her grandfather and their love for dance, music & Bollywood! Tears are shed, wounds healed and conflicts reconciled in a powerful journey to the sacred heart of dance.

Hope you catch it when it come to your country. Or maybe it has?

Hi Andy, wow... i have never heard of this.. really cool! i always love seeing musical interpretations of other forms of entertainment.. its so much more intimate.. makes more of an impact on the stage... its funny because bollywood movies themselves are "musicals" in a way, so the transition makes sense in the same way that Chinese theatre transitioned well into film.. I hope it does come here, i will look to see if it already has.. if so probably NYC or D.C.... as always thanks for your insightful comments! hope you're doing well and having a great 2010 so far!

take care !

aka Carl
