Last week's show "If Music Could Talk"-- freeform insanity!!!

My previously planned feature for this past week fell through at the last minute, so I did a "wildly eclectic" (some bad mixes, some pretty good-- trying new combinations) free form show which was loosely tied together by three themes: rain, apocalypse (gawd help us), and the end of summer/beginning of fall (it aint over yet!).. hope you enjoy! : )

The Grateful Dead... AUGUST 21 1968

LISTEN TO STREAMING AUDIO OF this 40 year old LiVe GraTeFul DeAd ShOw!
I always loved these spaced out extended jams.. Alligator, the Other One, Cryptical Envelopement...and the hauntingly beautiful Dark Star... pure sonic bliss....this is beyond mere drugged out noodling-- here is some of the most beautiful live rock improvisation ever.. and clear as a bell for being recorded WAYYYY back in '68..

Film maker Ingmar Bergman dies at 89....

"Feel, to the end, the triumph of being alive.."

film maker INGMAR BERGMAN passed away at 89 on Monday...

my father, painter Glenn Hamm, loved Ingmar Bergman's films because of his use of light and shadow.. as well as the surreal placement of symbols and contrasting characters in his movies...
